“Tonight the sky is blue, with hues of gold and crimson, as the sun sets and it begins to darken.

I find my thoughts as they begin to wonder, wandering, and racing like an approaching storm.

I find myself thinking.

Dreaming.

Of you.

As the blinding and blistering rockets of the holiday blot out the silence of the day and awaken the night sky with thunder, I find an intangible beauty in it all.

A beauty that makes me think of you.

I dare say, I rather love you, and your beauty, your beautiful soul, your laughter.

Thundering cracks fill my ears with sound but does nothing to move your face from my mind.

You’re like a quiet whisper in my ears as I try to sleep, a lingering voice as I try to work.

Plucking softly at the strings of my heart, filling my soul with a quiet melody.

I do believe I’ll wait here a while, and dream of you.

Until we meet again.”
